Before he left us, John J. Sayen, the co-founder and publisher of the original (ink on paper) version of The Tactical Notebook, wrote a book called Battalion: An Organizational Study of United States Infantry. In March of 2023, with the permission of the estate of Lieutenant Colonel Sayen, the current incarnation of The Tactical Notebook began the serialization of this monumental work.
